The President of the State discusses with the President of Chad bilateral relations

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and Field Marshal Mohamed Idris Deby Inso, President of the Republic of Chad, discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them, in addition to a number of regional and international issues in common concern.

This came during the reception of His Highness the President of the State, yesterday, at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi, Field Marshal Mohamed Idris Deby Inno, who is on an official visit to the UAE, where His Highness welcomed the guest president and the accompanying delegation, noting the development witnessed by Emirati Chadian relations, especially in the development fields.

During the talks, the two sides emphasized the keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation between the Emirates and Chad and invest the opportunities available in this regard, especially in the fields of trade, economy, investment, energy, infrastructure, etc., in a way that serves the joint development of the two countries and returns with good and growth over their people.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Field Marshal Mohammed Idris Deby Inno also exchanged views on developments in the region, and in this context they stressed the importance of working to promote regional peace and stability, in order to enhance the development and prosperity of the countries of the region and its peoples.

For his part, the Chadian President expressed his thanks to His Highness the President of the State, for the good reception and generous hospitality, and his appreciation of the Emirati Chadian joint work.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidency Bureau, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidency Bureau for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State, and Secretary -General of the Supreme Council of National Security, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, and Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan, Minister of State Defense, Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Head of the President of the State for Strategic Affairs, Head of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, and the UAE ambassador to the Republic of Chad, Rashid Saeed Al Shamsi, and from the Chadian side, members of the delegation accompanying President Mohamed Idris Deby Inno.

• The two sides confirmed the keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation between the Emirates and Chad, especially in the fields of trade, economy, investment, energy and infrastructure.
