In detail .. The Kingdom launches its wing at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair
The Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority will lead the Kingdom’s participation in the 34th session of the exhibition, with the participation of a number of bodies, which includes the King Abdulaziz House, King Abdulaziz Public Library, Princess Noura University, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an, in addition to the Publishing Association.

The pavilion includes a special corner of UNESCO for translation of cultures, one of the initiatives of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority aimed at encouraging research and partnerships that support the translation of cultures as a way to extend bridges between civilizations.
To provide an active platform for communication and exchange of experiences with the visitors of the exhibition and actors in the publishing and culture sector from different countries, and reflects the vitality of the Saudi cultural movement and its openness to regional and international cooperation.
Through its participation in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, the Kingdom aims to consolidate the bonds of partnership and cultural cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, and to enrich the areas of joint cooperation in the fields of literature, publishing and translation.
Deepening cultural relations
Through this participation, the Kingdom seeks to deepen the cultural relations that link Saudi Arabia to the Emirates, which is an extension of a joint movement in the fields of literature and thought.
The mutual initiatives in the fields of literature, publishing and translation contributed to the consolidation of this cooperation, reflecting the aspirations of the two countries to build an integrated Gulf cultural scene, capable of addressing the world with a unified vision and qualitative content.
The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is one of the most prominent cultural exhibitions in the region, and the oldest literary events at the Gulf and the Arab world, and started for the first time in 1981.
Support the publishing industry
It is organized annually under the supervision of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, straining more than 1,300 exhibitors from more than 80 countries, and receives more than 150,000 visitors annually.
It provides a vital platform for publication, translation and cognitive exchange, and hosts a group of international thinkers and authors; This makes it an important pillar in supporting the publishing industry and enhancing cultural dialogue at the regional and global levels.
