Mohammed bin Rashid Library hosts the Emirati Chinese Forum for Arabic Calligraphy

Dubai, April 30 / WAM / The Mohammed bin Rashid Library, “The Emirati Chinese Forum for Arabic Calligraphy Art”, which was organized in cooperation between the Emirates Association for Arabic Calligraphy and Decoration, and the Chinese embassy to the country on the occasion of the forty -year anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China.

His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al -Murr, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library Foundation, stressed that the forum comes within the framework of the state’s commitment to enhancing cultural and intellectual ties with China, noting that Arab and Chinese culture meets in their deep civilized roots, especially in calligraphy art, which is considered in both cultures a sophisticated artistic form that carries spiritual and aesthetic indications.

His Excellency stressed the importance of the mutual translation of intellectual and artistic works between the Arabic and Chinese, in a way that enhances the bridges of understanding and enriches cognitive exchange, pointing out that the library seeks to be a permanent platform for this type of global cultural communication.

For his part, Khaled Al -Jallaf, President of the Emirates Association for the Art of Arabic Calligraphy and Decoration, said that the forum highlights the line and arts as major tools to enhance civilized dialogue and human communication, stressing that cultural relations with China are an extension of the state’s vision of openness and tolerance.

For its part, His Excellency or Boukian, the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, praised the aesthetic intersection between the art of calligraphy in the two cultures, considering that every line and inclination in the Chinese line carries the spirit of history, as is the case in the Arabic calligraphy that embodies the values ​​and faith.

The forum includes a series of exhibitions, workshops and seminars that highlight the aesthetics of the Arab and Chinese calligraphy, in an artistic expression of the depth of the cultural partnership between the two countries.
