Events continue "Sharjah Reading for the child" 2025

Sharjah on May 1 / WAM / The Sharjah Reading Festival for Children 2025, organized by the Sharjah Book Authority in the Sharjah Center, continues until May 4, its various events from dialogue sessions and workshops directed towards children, where yesterday evening in the Thought Hall hosted a distinguished meeting with YouTube and the famous Indian content maker Farun Dughlala, who presented an interactive session on emotional intelligence And managing anger in children within the framework of mixing entertainment education, narrative narrative and interactive digital media.
Varun expressed his happiness with his first participation in the festival, noting that most of what he surprised is the enthusiasm of children and their sincere desire to learn new tools to understand themselves and their feelings, explaining that emotional intelligence is one of the most important life skills that are often not taught in schools despite being essential in building a balanced personality.
A dialogue session titled “Social media as a supernatural power” witnessed a rich discussion on the role of technology in children’s lives, as the participants unanimously agreed on the need to use communication responsible and convert them from consumer platforms to educational tools that enhance values and develop imagination, stressing the importance of preserving the paper book as a reliable basic source of knowledge in light of digital expansion.
The Indian writer Amanta Gandhi, the Sudanese writer and journalist, Munajat al -Tayyib, and Iraqi writer Sarah Al -Suhail, participated in the session.
In a related context, the children of the Sharjah Reading Festival of Children enjoyed an exceptional experience in the “round robots” workshop that brought together the pleasure of playing and the splendor of scientific discovery, providing an inspiring model for how to convert the idea into movement and imagination into a tangible experience in an enjoyable interactive environment that ignited the spark of scientific curiosity in children.
