المملكة: Keeping grace and spacing tables … new requirements for occasions and exhibition halls

In its organizational guide, the Ministry stated that all facilities working in this field are obligated to apply the requirements of the Saudi Building Code, including the construction, electric and mechanical aspects, along with ventilation, air conditioning, public health and energy rationalization.
She emphasized that investors must carry out businesses using equipment and identical materials for the approved standard specifications, and the adoption of all design and implementation work through licensed engineering offices.
Identity urban designs
With regard to the facades, the Ministry stressed the need to adhere to the urban code or the design directives approved by the area’s identity, while preventing the installation of electrical installations or air conditioning units shown on the facades or surfaces.
Among the striking requirements, the ministry imposed on the halls to take into account the movement of vehicles when there are areas of loading and downloading “Drop Off”, and the creation of special entrances for logistical services that open only on commercial streets while preventing the opening of any entrances to the residential streets. It also stipulated the presence of clear infantry corridors in the parking squares, and the implementation of solid walls from the neighborhood neighborhood at a height of at least 2.4 meters, while the front fences should be window and unhealthy.
Smart available information
On the side of the internal and interface panels, the Ministry confirmed that the unified electronic code (QR) must be installed to review the regular documents, provided that it is available to reach it outside work hours, and it may be presented in accounting areas or customer service without the need to print the documents.
The organization obliged investors to install electronic boards or uniform screens to display instructions and documents such as smoking prevention, emergency numbers, civil defense instructions, work hours and others, provided that they are free of defects and clearly designed.
Only licensed operation and crucial prohibitions
The requirements stressed the prevention of the practice of any activity without obtaining a municipal license and a operating license from the supervisory authority, as well as prohibiting any activity that is not included in the license or violating it, or using sidewalks or bounces without a pavement business license.
Among the violations that were categorically banned: removing or covering the closing poster in the event of its issuance from the Secretariat, reopening the hall before addressing the violation, setting up activities without a license, or providing folkloric offers outside the hall without a permit from the competent authorities, or violating the executive regulations of the noise approved by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
Food for the poor, not to waste
A distinguished humanitarian step adopted by the Ministry within the requirements, as it obligated the occasions and exhibition halls to hold a partnership with the approved “memorization” associations, to take over the responsibility of the surplus of food and drinks, so that it is re -arranged, wrapped and distributed to the beneficiaries.
On the maintenance aspect, periodic tours must be adhered to to maintain the integrity of the construction elements, extensions and equipment, and to maintain commercial panels, facades and walls, while ensuring that they are free of defects or cracks that distort the general appearance.
Micro -seating specifications and mandatory electronic payment systems
The ministry did not lose sight of the details of the distribution of tables and seats, and recommended that the distance between the tables – in its various forms – not be less than 150 cm, and that the distance between them and the walls should not be less than 120 cm, according to the guiding models included in the guide.
The requirements also imposed the provision of valid and ready electronic payment methods for use, with mandatory placing a poster that shows payment options on or inside the hall interface, and prevent refusal to use it under any circumstance.
Cameras, security monitoring and facilities for people with disabilities
The Ministry stressed the commitment to installing security surveillance cameras according to the approved regulations, with the application of comprehensive access criteria in sidewalks, stairs and external facades to ensure the arrival of persons with disabilities in a safe and easy way, based on the Saudi construction code.
