المملكة: “Saud Medical” organizes the first national conference of respiratory surgery

King Saud Medical City, the first member of the Riyadh Health Assembly, organizes the first national conference specializing in children’s respiratory surgery, during the period from 14 to 15 May 2025, at the headquarters of the Sharia Medical Services Center of the Ministry of Health in Riyadh.

Developing surgical skills

This conference is the first of its kind in the Kingdom, and aims to develop accurate surgical skills in the field of breathing in children, through an integrated scientific and practical program, with the participation of a group of experts and specialists from inside and outside the Kingdom.

A qualitative shift in the field of pediatric surgery

For her part, Dr. Mashael Majid Al -Qusair, Chairman of the Organizational Committee of the Conference, stressed the importance of this scientific event in supporting specialized medical education, noting that it represents a qualitative shift in the field of pediatric surgery, and the target of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision accompanies the excellence in health care.
Al -Qusair indicated that one of the most prominent things that distinguishes this conference is its dependence on realistic surgical simulations using animal models, which provides a practical training environment that enables the participants to enhance their skills in endoscopic surgeries and open reconstructive surgery, in a step that is the first of its kind within the Kingdom in this specialization.
The conference is expected to witness a wide participation of doctors and health practitioners, due to its high -level scientific content and training opportunities that contribute to raising readiness and professionalism in this delicate surgical field.
