63% is an increase in the number of intensive care beds during the past three years

The Director General of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, Dr. Youssef Mohamed Al -Serkal, explained that the Foundation is working to provide intensive care services through 5 main sections and a capacity of 12% of the total family, noting that the total number of cases that were introduced to the center care departments at the end of last year 2024, reached approximately 9 thousand cases of occupancy amounting to 85% and an increase of 15% compared to last years.

In response to a parliamentary question during the Federal National Council session, Al -Serkal said today: The Emirates Health Services Corporation and in the context of its development efforts, during the past three years, many proactive procedures aimed at developing these services included increasing the numbers of the intensive care family with a growth rate of 63%.

He pointed out that the development efforts included the establishment and operation of the medium care departments for patients who need extensive care, but less than concentrated care with a capacity of 42 beds, and the introduction of 1230 medical devices that varied between monitoring devices, industrial breathing and resuscitation devices, etc. 57 Foundation’s hospitals.
