A medical team specialized in Al -Nour Specialist Hospital, a member of the Makkah Al -Mukarramah Health Gathering, ended the suffering of a 45 -year -old Jordanian resident, who was suffering from a leakage of the infallible liquid from the left side of the nose, which led to her severe health complications, which included frequent infections, chronic headaches and a rise in temperature.

The Makkah Al -Mukarramah Health Rally explained that the patient came to the emergency department as she suffers from severe symptoms, and after being subjected to accurate tests that included CT scans and magnetic resonance, it was found that there was a delicate hole in the bottom of the skull that caused the leakage of the raomic fluid and meningitis.

Surgical intervention

After the evaluation, the medical team decided to urgently intervene by using a surgical endoscope backed by nervous navigation technology, which enabled doctors to locate the hole with extreme accuracy, in a procedure that is one of the most accurate operations in this field.
Tissue from the patient’s body was also used to restore the place of leakage, which contributed to promoting wound healing naturally and safely.

The operation took about six hours, including the installation of a precise catheter for the collection of the cerebral fluid, and the injection of a medical dye that helped detect a hole that does not exceed 2 mm in size, which is a very accurate opening that cannot be monitored by traditional photography.

Significant improvement

After the operation, the patient gradually recovered, left the hospital without recording any complications, and subsequent follow -up visits showed a remarkable improvement and complete disappearance of the symptoms she had previously suffered.
