The President of the State receives the President of the National Assembly in Azerbaijan
Abu Dhabi, May 7 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, received today at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi .. Excellency Dr. Sahib Gavarova, President of the National Assembly in the Republic of Azerbaijan, who is on an official visit to the state in the presence of His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, President of the Federal National Council.
His Highness welcomed the President of the National Assembly, wishing it a successful visit to the state, stressing the depth of relations that bring the UAE and Azerbaijan together.
The meeting dealt with bilateral relations and ways to develop and enhance them for the benefit of the two countries and the two peoples, especially in the parliamentary fields, stressing the importance of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries in supporting bilateral relations and enhancing understanding on common issues … in addition to the role of parliaments in achieving communication and rapprochement between peoples in a way that serves coexistence and peace at the regional and international levels.
For her part, His Excellency Dr. Sahib Gavarova, President of the National Assembly in Azerbaijan, praised the development in the course of Emirati -Azerbaijani relations thanks to cooperation and the common visions that bring the two countries to achieve development and prosperity for their people.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidency Bureau for Special Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Head of the President of the State for Strategic Affairs and Head of Abu Dhabi Executive Office, Dr. Sidra Al Mansouri, Vice -Chairman of the UAE -Azerbaijani Friendship Committee and a number of officials.
