King Salman Arabic Complex receives the Al -Babtain Prize for Creativity

The King Salman International Complex for the Arabic Language received the Abdul Aziz Saud Al -Babtain Prize for Creativity in the service of the Arabic language for the category of institutions, during the ceremony organized by the Arab Parliament in cooperation with the Abdul Aziz Saud Al -Babtain Cultural Foundation in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, in the presence of a number of Arab parliamentary and cultural figures, in honor of its qualitative project “The Arabic Language Index”.
This honor embodies a high Arab recognition of the pioneering role that the complex plays in the service of the Arabic language at the regional and international levels, and its contribution to developing accurate scientific measurement tools that keep pace with modern cultural and cognitive aspirations, and enhances the position of Arabic globally.

The success of the institutional efforts of the complex

The Secretary -General of the Synod d. Abdullah bin Saleh Al -Washmi, that obtaining this award represents an extension of Arab and international confidence in the initiatives adopted by the complex, and reflects the success of his institutional efforts in achieving the scientific and cognitive leadership, and providing innovative reference projects to serve the Arabic language.
He referred to what the complex finds from the permanent support from His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud – may God protect him – Minister of Culture, Chairman of the Council of Trustees of the Synod, for the general programs and activities.

He explained that the “Arabic Language Index” represents an ambitious strategic project launched by the complex to monitor the reality of the Arabic language, through quantitative indicators and how to cover 8 vital areas, through a scientific system that has been prepared in its preparation by more than 50 international experts, by analyzing 226 reference sources, and organizing 26 specialized discussion episodes, which enabled the index to provide reliable data that supports decision makers, Researchers and bodies interested in Arabic globally.

The scientific reference of the Arabic language

The “Arabic Language Index” project is an advanced step towards achieving the scientific reference of the Arabic language, as the complex works to issue periodic reports based on the index to monitor the use of the Arabic language and analyze it in the educational, cultural, media, and digital sectors, in a way that contributes to directing future efforts to support Arabic and enabling it in different environments.
