Mary Loui, a member of the National Council for Women, participated in the meeting of the Steering Group for the Middle East and North Africa and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), in a session entitled: Green Transformation and Global Transformations in the Middle East and North Africa. It turned towards the green economy, confirming that more than 600,000 women have participated in climate awareness initiatives, and the global viewpoint of women, the environment and climate change has been launched & quot;, and the initiative of African women and adaptation to climate change & quot; (AWCAP) to enhance cooperation between African countries in the field of women’s protection from climate change.
She explained that & nbsp; The & quot; Smart Green Enterprises & quot, highlighting women’s leadership, as women provided 47% of the winning projects in the first round, 44% in the second round, environmental camps and campaigns to encourage investment and training for women, as the Egyptian seal of gender equality and empowerment of women, women representing in Parliament and leadership roles. The Egyptian Women Observatory, which was established in 2017 to supervise the implementation of the national strategy to empower Egyptian women 2030, launched by the National Council for Women and approved by the President of the Republic, and this observatory works as an independent authority to achieve several goals, including monitoring and evaluating the values of indicators related to the status of Egyptian women, issuing periodic reports and studies on women’s situation.
