"Pensions": Submit medical retirement requests is available on a platform "Pensioner"

Abu Dhabi, May 13/ WAM/ The General Authority for Pension and Social Insurance said that submitting medical retirement requests for insured to workers in the government and private sectors is done through a health fitness evaluation service to work on the “pensioner” platform, and requests are submitted by the work authorities supported by several documents that include a medical report on the case of the insured issued by a government hospital, a copy of the Emirati identity of the applicant, a copy of the medical examination for him when appointing him when appointing And a personal photo, in addition to any other supportive documents, and the authority receives these requests from the authorities and refer them to the medical committee specializing in pension affairs.

The commission added that this committee was established according to a ministerial decision issued by the Minister of Health for the purposes of proving the status of disability or lack of health fitness to work, and it is the only body concerned with proving the status of disability or lack of health fitness to work, on the requests submitted by the insured covered by the laws of the General Authority for Pension and Social Insurance, and its decisions are considered binding.

When the committee approves a decision that includes proving the state of deficit or lack of health fitness for work, the employer must provide the authority with the file of the end of the insured service and all the required documents and documents, including the decision of the competent medical committee on the “pension” platform through the service of disbursing insurance dues.

The pension is paid directly to the insured by simply proving the state of deficit or lack of health fitness to work with the committee’s decision, and the insured pension is calculated in this case on the basis of the period of participation “15” years even if his service period is less than that, or according to the actual subscription period if this period exceeds that.

It is worth noting that the number of requests received by the committee during the year 2024 and until the end of the first quarter of 2025 amounted to 479 requests, and 130 applications were approved by the status of disability or lack of health fitness to work, according to the drags in force within the committee.
