Abu Dhabi, May 15 / WAM / His Excellency Khaled Al -Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Foundation, met the members of the young Arab media leadership program, in a dialogue session, which dealt with the role of youth in the media sector and their pivotal position in national development, in the presence of a group of young media talents from all over the Arab world.

During his speech, Al -Naimi reviewed the transformation that the youth sector in the country went through, stressing that the allocation of an independent institution that concerns them is a clear reflection of the vision of the rational leadership that believes in youth as the main pillar of the comprehensive national development process in the present and the future.

He stressed that empowering young people in the state represents the axis of youth work in an integrated system that begins to build personality and develop skills, and provide a stimulating environment, leading to their involvement in decision -making.

He said that real empowerment is by providing the environment that allows young people to express, learn, and be part of the media message that represents them, reflects their identity, and contributes to the prosperity of their societies, because the media is no longer just a channel to convey the news, but rather an effective tool for building confidence, and strengthening the relationship between governments and societies, especially in light of the increasing dependence on young influencers to transfer national messages in a language similar to their audience He added: “Today we are not satisfied with the voice of institutions, but rather are looking for influential to carry institutional messages in a youth form, to re -present them in an interactive and creative manner through digital platforms.”

During his speech, Al -Nuaimi touched on the main directions of the “National Agenda of Youth 2031”, which includes the economy, society and values, role models, skills and education, and the quality of life, which intersect with the media, and provides young media people spaces to influence their specialized fields or interests in the various vital sectors.

Al -Nuaimi gave an expanded view of the initiatives and innovative projects led by the Foundation, which contribute to highlighting the creations of youth and expanding their institutional and societal empowerment, stressing that the participation of young people in making content stems from their specialties and experiences is the first step towards building confidence and achieving the positive impact.

At the end of the session, Al -Nuaimi called on the participants to take advantage of their experience during the program, and to build on it to formulate content that expresses their reality, and provides positive visions of their societies, stressing that the role of youth is important and essential to the manufacture of media messages, and to present them creatively and influential.
