The digital school participates in its experiences in the largest e -learning conference in Africa

Dubai, May 15 / WAM / The digital school, one of the initiatives of Mohammed bin Rashid International, participated in its distinguished experiences in accelerating the digital transformation in the education sector, and its partnerships aimed at providing an advanced learning experience for students in the less fortunate regions in the world, and the model of its work to enhance international cooperation in the development of education, within the activities of the E -Learning Conference in Africa, whose 18th session was organized in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

The participation of the digital school came as one of the main partners of the conference, as the delegation included the main digital school partners and the “Ataya” project of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, and the Center for Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT).

The e -learning conference and exhibition in Africa is the largest and most important forum in the African continent that specializes in digital education and developing skills, and in its current session more than 1500 participants from more than 80 countries, including 20 ministers, policy makers, experts, and representatives of international institutions, are intended within the efforts of the school aimed at enhancing the exchange of knowledge and experiences and best practices in developing education, and its constant endeavor to support the governments of the African continent in efforts Digital transformation in education.

The Emirati sponsorship of the conference comes within the commitment announced by the “Ataya” initiative to allocate the revenues of its exhibition for the year 2025, to support e -learning initiatives in Africa, in partnership with the digital school through a set of qualitative initiatives and projects.

During the conference, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the “digital school” and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in the United Republic of Tanzania, as part of efforts to enhance cooperation in digital education and empowering young generations in Africa.

The signing of His Excellency Professor Adolf McKena, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Tanzanian Technology, and His Excellency Khalifa Al Marzouqi, UAE Ambassador to the United Republic of Tanzania, and Hind Al -Muhairbi, Director of Ataya Project, the partner of the digital school in the e -learning project for Africa.

The memo was signed by Dr. Walid Al Ali, Secretary -General of the Digital School, and Professor Caroline Nombo, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Tanzania.

During the conference, the digital school announced the launch of the first regional office in Tanzania in support of the skills academies project, in partnership with the cognitive partner of the Iit Madras

The UAE delegation participating in the E -Learning Conference and Exhibition in Africa 2025 included each; Dr. Walid Al Ali, Secretary -General of the Digital School, Hind Al -Muhairbi, Director of Ataya Project, Khaled Al Hammadi, Acting CEO and Vice President for Education and Training at the Excellence Center for Applied Research and Training (CERT), Mark Rajili, Director of Institutional Development and Strategic Partnerships at the Center, and Reem Al -Mutawa, from the digital school.

Dr. Walid Al Ali stressed that the active participation of the digital school in the activities of the conference translates the increasing international confidence in its unique model in advancing the limits of digital education, and confirms its increasing appreciation and accreditation in African countries and with global development partners.

He said that the digital school worked during the conference activities to launch new initiatives to support education in Africa, and held targeted meetings to enhance digital transformation in the continent through new partnerships, its aim is to provide the school’s experience for African students, which contributes to enabling them to an advanced learning experience available to all and easy access.

For her part, Caroline Nombo welcomed, in partnership with the digital school from the Emirates, and said that she would facilitate the digital transformation in her country, expressing her aspiration to work together, and to exchange experiences, to improve teaching and learning for students in Tanzania.

In turn, Hind Al -Muhairbi said that the ministerial session at the conference witnessed a highlight of the projects of gifts of humanity in the areas of support for education, health and infrastructure, in addition to the skills academy initiative that will be launched in cooperation with the digital school in a number of African countries.

Khaled Al Hammadi stressed that the participation of the CERT Center alongside the digital school in this global event embodies an Emirati vision that believes that digital education represents a strategic tool for empowering people worldwide, by providing it with the skills and knowledge necessary for the era of digital transformation. He stressed that the role of the Sirte Center as an executive partner of the skills academies translates this commitment, by enabling individuals and qualifying them with practical skills that enhance their readiness for the labor market.

The digital school and the Ataya project in the exhibition accompanying the conference reviewed innovative educational projects, including the skills academy initiative launched during the World Summit of Governments 2025, with the aim of empowering young people and teachers in Africa through digital education directed to the labor market.

The digital school organized a ministerial session that brought together ministers and officials from African countries to discuss ways to accelerate access to education and training through information and innovation technology, and was held within the activities of the second day of the conference, a specialized workshop that brought together a group of experts and education and development leaders in the African continent, to discuss strategies for digital transformation in education at the national level, focused on the importance of building programs to build youth capabilities for the work market, and its role In economic and social development.

The digital school also held more than 12 bilateral meetings with ministries, institutions and development organizations, which discussed the expansion of areas of cooperation and partnerships in the development of digital education, which reflects the increasing interest from the countries of the African continent by enhancing cooperation with them to develop digital education.

It is noteworthy that the e -learning conference in Africa has hosted since its launch 19 years ago, more than 22 thousand participants from more than 100 countries, in which more than 4,800 speakers participated, and it has the support of major international bodies and organizations such as UNESCO, the African Union, and the African Development Bank, along with international companies such as Microsoft and Google.

The conference represents a major platform for communication and exchange of knowledge between policymakers, experts, and practitioners in the field of digital education from all over the world, with a special focus on the needs and opportunities of the African continent.
