He added: «The number of public transport bus users in 2024 reached approximately 188 million passengers, recording 8% growth compared to 2023, and the total bus fleet is 1390 buses, operating on 187 lines, of which 110 lines for urban and rural areas, 64 lines to feed metro stations with passengers, 13 lines for transport through cities, in addition to seasonal lines It is operated to serve the users of certain sites, such as the global village, ”noting that“ buses carry out 11 thousand flights per day, during which they cut more than 333 thousand kilometers, and transport more than 500 thousand passengers per day, and the percentage of the accuracy of the bus arrival on time has reached more than 77%, ”explaining that“ the authority carries out a periodic review of the bus service lines, according to the registered data and information, And the feedback from passengers, where, last year, it launched nine fast bus lines (Express), and nine lines to feed metro stations, and four lines for the areas most demanding the service of taxi vehicles, were activated, and the bus transit system was activated at traffic lights on crowded intersections, as this initiative contributed to improving the time of buses by up to 12%».
