The Egyptian Museum of Tahrir is witnessing a leading scientific event on the employment of artificial intelligence in the maintenance and restoration of mummies

In the context of celebrating the International Museum Day, the Egyptian Museum hosted the liberation, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, an exceptional scientific event entitled: & quot; Development of Artificial Intelligence in Maintenance and Restoration in Museums: focusing on maintenance of mummies & quot;. The event was organized in cooperation with the Italian archaeological center (Cai-IIC), and the management of mummies and human remains in the project sector, and the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority, with the participation of a group of experts and researchers from Egypt and Italy. Mummies and archaeological collections, by presenting the latest research technologies and applied methods in this vital field, confirming the commitment of the Egyptian Museum to its scientific and research role in preserving the Egyptian cultural heritage. The event included a series of scientific lectures, most notably an intervention Registered by Dr. Guerino Bouvalino, Scientific Adviser at the Italian Ministry of Culture for Artificial Intelligence and Heritage Affairs, in which he talked about global trends in employing artificial intelligence to protect cultural heritage. Dr. Rania Ahmed Ali, Director of Mummies Restoration Department at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, also made a detailed presentation on advanced technologies adopted in mummies maintenance. Dr. Hassan Ibrahim Saleh, head of the National Center for Radiation Research at the Atomic Energy Authority, presented a scientific intervention on the capabilities of artificial intelligence in documenting and analyzing mummies, stressing the importance of integrating various specializations to achieve effective and accurate results.
The event also witnessed the participation of Italian researchers d. Daniele Persia and Dr. Georgia Kavisi, who presented advanced visions about the use of human digital sciences in studying and documenting Egyptian statues of the Roman imperial nature.
