As part of its continuous efforts to empower rural women, the sustainable agricultural rural development program organized “Saudi countryside”, as part of its continuous efforts to empower rural women; The first training program in the skill empowerment of leather industries.
This is to enable rural women in Al -Kharj Governorate, to acquire the required skills in the field of local leather industry, support their small projects, marketing their various leather products and expanding them; It enhances entrepreneurship for rural women, and supports the national economy, in order to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030 targets.
Majid Al -Braikan, Assistant Secretary -General of the “Saudi Arabia” program for media and communication, explained that the training program witnessed the participation of (15) trainees of rural entrepreneurships; In order to build and develop their capabilities in the field of added value for leather industries, through training in technologies and innovative design, diversification of leather products, in addition to quality control and business management, as well as business planning, cost and marketing strategies; Including brands to create value -added projects.

Al -Braikan expressed that the program will achieve many benefits for the trainees, as it will be able to develop their skill in the field of entrepreneurship, achieve added value for leather industries, in addition to diversifying products and business management.
He pointed out that 10 to 15 new companies will be established, which will contribute to providing the largest number of job opportunities for rural women.
It is noteworthy that the Women Sector is one of the important sectors supported by the “Saudi countryside” program, to contribute to strengthening the products of rural families, by providing support for them and developing their skills, through many initiatives, programs and various projects.
