Tamkeen hosts a workshop on labor market strategies in cooperation with the World Bank

The Labor Fund (Tamkeen) announced that it has hosted a workshop in cooperation with the World Bank, with the aim of providing a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences on the labor market and developing competencies.
The workshop lasted for three days, and witnessed a wide presence that included a number of experts, leaders and decision makers from various sectors, and a number of stakeholders in the Bahrain team, where the workshop was attended by 55 people from various government agencies, which included: Prime Minister Office, Ministry of Finance and National Economy, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Sustainable Development, Information and Electronic Government Authority, Economic Development Council, General Insurance Authority Social, the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, as well as a delegation from the World Bank.
The workshop was attended by the presence of a number of decision makers from various economic sectors, and focused on the latest developments, opportunities and challenges in the labor market, and included various training sessions, seminars, and lectures that covered various topics, including refining and building skills, developing labor market policies, and economic integration of women, and others.
On this occasion, Mrs. Alia Al -Ali, CEO of Strategy and Data Analysis in the Labor Fund (Tamkeen), welcomed the participation of the World Bank in this initiative, noting the importance of exchanging experiences with various international competent authorities to develop programs and policies at a global level that benefits the local market and the economy of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
She said: “We were pleased to host this workshop with the participation of the Bahrain team, representatives of the World Bank and experts from various sectors in the local market. These initiatives contribute to enhancing the understanding of the labor market and studying the variables in it, which helps in providing appropriate support for the market requirements, which is in line with the commitment of the continuous empowerment to support the labor market in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
Mrs. Safaa Al -Tayeb Al -Kouqali, Director of the World Bank in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, said: “We are committed to supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain in its developmental career towards strengthening the policies of the labor market through continuous cooperation and exchanging knowledge, and the joint workshop between the various ministries has given the opportunity to exchange visions on the labor market trends and challenges and possible solutions to policies, in addition to that it gathered decision makers from various government agencies to take the necessary decisions, and with our focus On the importance of employment, such initiatives are very important, especially at the present time. “
