Fenerbah is crowned the European Basketball League champion in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, May 26/ WAM/ The Turkish Fenerbahce team was crowned the European Basketball League champion for the second time in its history, after its victory yesterday over the French Monaco team 81-70 in the final match they gathered in Al -Ittihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, amid a remarkable public presence.
With this victory, the Turkish team managed to restore the title after an 8 -year absence, as it won the title for the first time in 2017.
The capital, Abu Dhabi, hosted the event for the first time in its history and in the Middle East, and also witnessed the semi -final matches.
On the other hand, the UAE Special Olympics players and coaches participated in a unified basketball training workshop alongside the European League stars, as Amr Badawi, head of the Sports and Training Unit, and Ali Bin Sumaida, the UAE Special Olympics player, presented a dialogue session and a workshop, during which they participated in stories and personal experiences from the international games for the Special Olympics – Abu Dhabi 2019, highlighting the great legacy that these games left In enhancing integration and empowering people of determination.
