The UAE Agricultural Exhibition discusses the role of the family in promoting agriculture as a basis for education

Al Ain May 30 / WAM / The activities of the UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition witnessed its third day, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State and Prime Minister and head of the Presidency Bureau, a youthful episode entitled “From the family, agriculture begins as a basis for education on environmental and national affiliation”, with the participation of each of, His Excellency Dr. Amna Bint Abdullah Al -Dahhak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Family Minister, His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al -Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs.
The episode discussed the pivotal role of the family in instilling the values of love of agriculture and its importance in the hearts of children from a young age, and how agriculture can be a tool to enhance national and environmental affiliation.
The discussions touched on the importance of agricultural heritage in promoting national identity, ways to motivate children and families to pay attention to agriculture in light of technological changes, in addition to policies that can contribute to attracting young people to sustainable agricultural professions.
His Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al -Dahhak said, “We are inspired by the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, the spirit of adherence to sustainability and the importance of celebrating our history and heritage by protecting our environment and preserving it, as agriculture represents one of the most important pillars on which the founding father built the national sense and belonging, so its saying ‘gave me a cultivation that has a profound And it confirms that agriculture can support our state and ensure human and social development.
Her Excellency added that planting agriculture in the hearts of children and youth is an inculcate of the values of belonging and loyalty, because planting seeds on the ground is an expression of the link to that land and defending it, which goes beyond the fact that agriculture is merely an economic activity to provide food, to carry a greater feeling of the homeland and its future, and that the restoration of children and youth to our national values and our cultural identity through agriculture is the best way to instill the feeling of responsibility Towards the challenges of food security, and deepening awareness of the importance of moving to find practical solutions for them for a safe food for future generations.
For her part, His Excellency Sana bint Mohammed Suhail said that agriculture in the UAE is beyond mere work, profession or project, which is a way of life and a group of values, cultures and principles inherent in the roots of the UAE society, is a reflection of a national identity, through which we highlight our affiliation with our land and our loyalty to our leadership.
Her Excellency added, “Our children and members of our family are the future of our state and the renaissance of our civilization, with them we achieve our aspirations and through them we expand our horizons on us as parents and responsible for building values and principles among our children and our youth, to strengthen in themselves the love of agriculture and implant in their hearts its importance as an authentic tributary not only for personal growth, but to achieve the elevation of the country and the prosperity of society.”
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Al -Neyadi said that the wise leadership of the state attaches great importance to instilling national values and environmental awareness in the hearts of generations, as it believes that the family is the first nucleus of making this awareness, and that agriculture is one of the most important practices to establish affiliation and consolidate the cultural identity, so enabling young people to discover this vital sector, and linking it to the concepts of innovation and sustainability, is a strategic step towards achieving food security and deepening Feeling national responsibility towards the future.
His Excellency added that agriculture today has become an open space for young people to formulate new solutions, and to transform challenges into development opportunities, to start here the journey from the family, and every agricultural idea that young people put forward is a real contribution to the future of the country, and every project is implemented is an implantation of value, and a bridge towards sustainable development that extends for future generations.
