Specialists specify “health recipes” to deal with “Eid rituals”

Specialists have identified health recipes to deal with the blessed Eid Al -Adha rituals, stressing the need to pay attention to a number of practices that may have a negative impact on health, especially with the increasing consumption of meat, soft drinks, sweets, and other substances that may pose a healthy health.
They called for the necessity of caution against fried foods, such as fried mft, fried liver, fried kebabs, and choosing to steam or grilled meat, instead, with the importance of avoiding fatty broth.
Meat
And the therapeutic nutritionist, Dr. Nour Abu Badhaheer, warned that the tables of events and celebrations can affect health, especially Eid al -Adha tables, where meals throughout the Eid days are rich in meat, pastries, juices, soft drinks and sweets, which constitutes a threat to the health of those who eat them, especially those with chronic diseases.
She said: «The increase in meat eating negatively affects the digestive system, and threatens the safety of public health. In the day, if a person suffers from a high level of cholesterol, it is recommended to reduce the quantity to 150 grams per day.
“Sheep meat must be eaten in moderation, taking into account that it is cooked in a healthy way, with no grease, and adherence to meals based on vegetables, especially those rich in fibers, as they reduce the effect of fats, and avoid high cholesterol.”
Slaughtering in homes
And she continued: “One of the dangerous habits on Eid al -Adha is the random slaughter or dealing with the streets of the two streets, because of this direct impact on strengthening the vital security system and preserving public health.” Noting that the approved slaughterhouses provide an integrated and healthy environment for slaughter, including precise veterinary checks before and after the slaughter, and two licensed and qualified hotels, in addition to advanced equipment that guarantees hygiene and reduce Pollution operations, meat safety, and safe disposal of slaughtering waste, in line with biological security requirements and limits the spread of common diseases between humans and animals.

For her part, the therapeutic nutritionist and diabetic educator, Dr. Salam Sagheer said: “Sweets shine in their bright colors, attractive shapes and delicious flavors in the Eid season, including chocolate, local dates, lumps and cakes, where the atmosphere of the celebration and gives them the necessary momentum, except that eating them in large quantities without awareness of the seriousness of its effect on health may lead to the trap of the disease, Where it negatively affects the digestive system, and threatens diabetics with several complications.
I warned against eating sweets that may lead to an escalation of blood sugar and obesity, as oils and fats enter the manufacture of Eid sweets, which are effective elements in weight gain in cooperation with sugars, and the increasing risk of heart disease due to its high content of fats and oils, and erosion of teeth as a result of the high sugar proportions in it that cause the destruction of the structure of the teeth, erosion and exposing them to the risk of decay.
She stressed the importance of consuming moderate shares of sweets and time spaced, choosing less harmful varieties, eating home made instead of this commercially manufactured, and refused to accept more desserts during family gatherings, in addition to practicing physical activities regularly during Eid periods to burn excess calories.
Incense
While the consultant of lung diseases, Dr. Imad Al -Namnim, indicated that evaporation is one of the heritage habits in the Gulf region that is used for purposes related to perfuming homes and public places, especially in occasions and holidays, so it is necessary to be careful not to inhale the incense heavily, especially those with respiratory diseases and young children, pointing out that this causes many health problems for them.
He said: “Despite the pleasant smells of incense and smoke, it causes health damage, as they are caused by the burning of aromatic oils and wood, as harmful gases result in this that negatively affects human health.” He pointed to the importance of good ventilation when evaporating, and ensuring that the patients or children are not exposed to it, as burning incense contributes to air pollution, and its use is related to increasing the risk of infection With cardiovascular diseases and lung diseases, smoke from burning incense contains high levels of pollutants, such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide, which are in tobacco smoke as well.
He cautioned that people with cold and influenza should move away from the gatherings that abound during the holidays, and not to be in crowded closed areas, in order to prevent the transmission of infection to others, and those with chronic diseases and the elderly and children must take more preventive measures.
