The Ministry of Health and Population announced the completion of the conduct of 2 million and 728 thousand and 487 surgical operations, as part of the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, to finish waiting lists and prevent the accumulation of new lists in critical surgical interventions covered by the initiative, since its inception in July 2018. The residents, the ministry received 252 thousand and 788 calls from patients of waiting lists, through the hotline allocated to the initiative, from the beginning of the project until the end of last May, indicating that the cases that were followed from the beginning of July 2023 until the end of May this year reached & nbsp; 249 thousand and 65 cases. The initiative includes surgeries (heart, bones, ophthalmology, tumors, baccalaureate, heart catheter, brain and nerves, kidney transplantation, liver transplantation, cochlear transplantation, peripherals), according to the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al -Sisi, and patients are distributed central to hospitals of the initiative, to ensure that they obtain medical service at the utmost possible. To end the waiting lists completely free, and the patient does not bear any material burdens, as the initiative is based on the principle of alleviating the suffering of those who are unable, and conducting urgent and critical surgeries in the highest quality and as soon as possible. In hospitals to provide the best medical services for patients, through continuous training for medical cadres and providing hospitals with modern supplies and devices to conduct surgical interventions, in addition to the continuous development of the possible system of the initiative to facilitate the follow -up and extraction of data. At the expense of the state, or health insurance, based on the absorptive capacity of each hospital with the possibility of transferring cases between the sectors provided to the service. 15300
