"Emirati publishing houses" The cultural and literary diversity is highlighted at the Beijing Book Fair

Beijing on June 19 / WAM / UAE publishing houses participate effectively at the Beijing International Book Fair 2025; Where visitors are known for its various publications that reflect the cultural and literary diversity in the Emirates and express the country’s culture, history and heritage, so that this is a window through which the audience of the exhibition recognizes the creations of the children of the Emirates in all cultural, intellectual and artistic fields.

The participating role presents the latest books in the fields of Emirati literature, novels, historical studies, scientific books, artificial intelligence, and the history of Arab -Chinese relations, in addition to children’s publications.

This participation also highlights the Emirati heritage and Arab culture through books that diversify poetry, folk stories, and traditional arts, as well as hosting the UAE pavilion, more than 15 dialogue sessions with Emirati writers and seminars on publishing and translation between Arabic and Chinese, and artistic workshops for visitors that contribute to enhancing literary exchange between the UAE and China, and supports the translation of Emirati books into Chinese and vice versa, by organizing from the Embassy of the Emirates In Beijing, the participation of the Ministry of Culture.

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, President of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, said that the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic language are keen to participate in the Beijing International Book Fair in its 31st session, through a global platform with a large weight in the Asia region, under its umbrella, an international presence in the fields of publishing and culture, to allow the center to promote the programs and projects on which it works to enhance the position of the Arabic language, He discussed the conclusion of effective partnerships with the most important cultural, academic and technical institutions around the world.

The center participates in the exhibition with a rich program that includes discussion seminars and professional meetings, organizing a set of visits, signing cooperation agreements in line with the state’s vision of openness to cultures around the world, enhancing Abu Dhabi’s cultural status, and supporting the book industry and translation from Arabic to Chinese.

Bin Tamim praised the Beijing International Book Fair and the activity of publishing movement in China, especially in the fields of “technology and artificial intelligence”, stressing that this participation in this event reflects the strategic direction of the UAE in promoting cognitive and cultural exchange with China, especially in modern areas that are a priority for future development.

For his part, His Excellency Rashid Mohammed Al -Kous, Executive Director of the Emirati Publishers Association, affirmed the association’s keenness to contribute to strengthening the relations of cultural cooperation and exchange between the UAE and China, and to benefit from the leading Chinese experience in the field of publishing and its creativity in cognitive production; In this context, praising the efforts of Emirati publishers in developing the publishing industry in the country, under the direction of Sheikha Badour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the honorary president of the Emirati Publishers Association.

He said that through its participation in the exhibition, the association seeks to exchange experiences and display many Arabic and Emirati books to the Chinese and international audience, pointing out that the Emirati books are receiving the attention of Chinese publishing houses, including children’s books that are characterized by their high quality and attractive content.

For his part, Abdulaziz Sultan Al -Maamari, Director of Library Department at Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities, stressed that the university’s participation in the exhibition includes the presentation of more than 50 of its publications, and the introduction of those interested and visitors to its most important educational programs, especially in the fields of Islamic studies, language and tolerance issues.
