The UAE made the values of coexistence the cornerstone of building the country and society

Saqr Ghobash, President of the Federal National Council, stressed that the United Arab Emirates, since its establishment, has made its path based on an advanced philosophical and human vision, which made the values of peaceful coexistence, dialogue between religions and cultures, and the promotion of world peace, the cornerstone of building the state and society.

This came in his speech before the plenary session of the second parliamentary conference for interfaith dialogue, which is currently being held in the Italian capital, Rome, with a joint organization between the International Parliamentary Union and the Italian parliament, and with the wide participation of the heads of parliamentary delegations from different countries of the world, and representatives of international organizations, religious bodies and civil society organizations, as well as the presence of Tulia Akson, President of the International Parliamentary Union, and President The National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania, Lorenzo Fontana, Speaker of the House of Representatives in the Italian Republic, and Agnatisio La Rossa, Speaker of the Senate in the Italian Republic.

The delegation of the Federal National Council participating in the conference included Dr. Ali Rashid Al -Nuaimi, Saeed Rashid Al -Abedi, members of the Council, Dr. Omar Abdul Rahman Al -Nuaimi, Secretary -General of the Council, and Tariq Ahmed Al Marzouqi, Assistant Secretary -General for the Presidency of the Council.

In his speech, Saqr Ghobash indicated that the human brother’s document, which was launched from the land of the United Arab Emirates in 2019, under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, constituted a concept in the course of relations between religions and cultures.

Ghobash said: “The document was not a declaration of intentions, but rather a moral and philosophical framework for beliefs, established a new global system that restores consideration to human humanity above all affiliation. It also represents the fruit of a deep awareness that the world needs a new moral system, liberating religions from political exploitation, and sets a common ground that emphasizes the principle of equal citizenship, and respects diversity as a responsibility Universal, not only a national choice. “

He said, “We meet today representatives of our peoples, which, even if their languages, cultures, and religious references differ, they meet at firm joints of human values, which are raised from the dignity of man, and guarantees freedom of belief, and the right to live in security and peace.”

Ghobash explained that the convening of this conference in the city of Rome, which for centuries has formed one of the pillars of human history, represents an affirmation of a civilized path in which nations interacted in the fields of thought and politics, in which the concepts of law, citizenship, and pluralism flourished.

He added: “Through our emphasis on the importance of dialogue and coexistence, we re -evoke bright periods of human history, in which civilizations, cultures and religions met in environments in which knowledge, art and peace flourished.”

He pointed out that the recognition of the human participant imposes a deeper understanding of the nature of the dialogue and its dimensions, and the nature of the tensions that the world has witnessed during the recent decades and its sources.

He stressed that dialogue does not mean solving identities, and does not require waiving ideological or cultural privacy, but rather is in essence respect for the difference, and an investment in pluralism, in order to consolidate a fertile ground for sustainable participatory building among peoples.

Ghobash said, the best of what I conclude with my word is a quotation from the essence of the human call that the human brother’s document carries, which can constitute a road map for us as parliamentarians in order to achieve the slogan of the conference .. The document says we demand ourselves and the leaders of the world, and the industries of international policies and the global economy, by working seriously to spread the culture of tolerance and coexistence And interfering immediately to stop the torrent of innocent blood, and stop the world’s wars, conflicts and climatic retreats, and cultural and moral slope. The document also appealed to thinkers, philosophers, clerics, artists, media people, and creators everywhere, to re -discover the values of peace, justice, goodness, human brotherhood, and coexistence, and to emphasize their importance as a successful shell of all, and they seek to spread these values among people everywhere.
