Foreign Minister holds political consultations with his Austrian counterpart

The consultations dealt with a number of regional and international issues of common concern, as the two ministers dealt with developments related to the ceasefire between Israel and Iran, where Minister Abdel -Ati stressed the need to confirm the ceasefire and reduce the escalation, reviewing the relentless efforts made by Egypt to contain the situation between the two countries and push political and diplomatic solutions. The West Bank, Minister Abdel Ati reviewed his Austrian counterpart on Egypt’s efforts to resume the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the enforcement of humanitarian and relief aid to the Strip, stressing the need to create a political horizon to implement the two -state solution and establish the Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital, as it is the only way to establish peace, security and stability in the region. The Foreign Minister warned of the seriousness of the situation in the West Bank with the continued Israeli military operations in the cities and villages of the West Bank, stressing the need to stop the settlers’ attacks against the innocent Palestinians.
