A new deal for the Atletico Madrid battalion

Atletico Madrid, the third Spanish league in football for the last season, decided to contract Italian defender Matteo Rodgery from Atalanta, according to what was announced on Tuesday evening.
“Atletico Madrid and Atlanta reached an agreement on the transfer of Matteo Rodgery,” the Spanish capital said, adding, “The 22 -year -old left -back signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2030.”
Rodgery joined the Atalanta Academy when he was nine years old and scored his start with the first team on the third of November 2020 when he was eighteen years old, in a match in the Champions League against Liverpool.
After playing 15 games during the 2022-2023 season, Rodgery imposed himself in the following season and defended the colors of Atalanta in 48 games in all competitions.
In all, Rodgiery played 109 games with Atalanta in all competitions during her journey, including his defense of the colors of Salernitana for the 2021-2022 season on loan.
It was reported in Italy that the contract of contracting with Rodgery cost Atletico Madrid for nearly 20 million euros, after the Spanish capital club paid three million euros to include Argentine goalkeeper Juan Moussa from Atalanta as well, while he obtained the French defender Cleanan Langle without charge after the end of his contract with Barcelona.
