The Emirates Group reviews its sustainability initiatives with its annual exhibition "Tomorrow’s launch"

Dubai, July 4 / WAM / The Emirates Group has accompanied the United Nations invitation for this year to eliminate pollution of plastic materials, through its annual sustainability exhibition, “Tomorrow’s launch”, which embodies the group’s commitment to adopting the highest standards of sustainability in its various activities and operations.
The exhibition reflected the message of the organization calling for reducing mono -use plastic products through its exhibits that highlighted the efforts of Emirates and Danata in the field of sustainability, and their commitment to the “responsible consumption” approach by rationalizing the use and reuse of plastic materials, and working to reduce plastic waste and other waste.
The current year exhibition included leading initiatives with a positive impact, including projects implemented by Emirates and Dnata with partners carrying the same trends within the various departments and departments, including engineering departments, catering, shipping, airports operations, travel, service provision and others.
Adel Al -Ridha, Vice President of Operations for Operations at Emirates Airlines, said in his speech at the opening of the exhibition that the sustainability has become priority in the strategies of governments and societies, and based on our belief in Emirates Airlines that collective responsibility through the entire ecosystem is vital in the success of the strategies set, we are keen to move forward in emissions reduction projects, and we seek to implement programs and initiatives to preserve Resources through responsible recycling and supply, and cooperation with industrial partners is very important in the coming years to enhance the ability to recycle materials across the various stages of the supply chain.
He added that in addition to that, we encourage our teams to build to participate in the current initiatives and exceed the borders in the field of developing new methods to address various forms of operational waste, starting with the materials used in the compartments of passengers in our aircraft, the materials used in providing food and ending with ground operations and maintenance.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, a conference that allowed employees to see the efforts made by Emirates, Danata and partners to enhance sustainable practices.
