The Sharjah Fish Resources Authority organizes for the first time a campaign to clean the bottom of Dibba Al -Hosn
Sharjah, July 8 / WAM / The Sharjah Fish Resources Authority organized a campaign to clean the bottom of the Dibba Al -Hosn Port for the first time in the presence of His Excellency Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazia, President of the Authority, Salem Muhammad Al -Mahrazi, Director of the Authority, and Dr. Khaled Al -Handasi, President of Dibba Al -Hosn Cooperative Association for Fish Fishermen, as well as a number of officials and representatives of the participating and supportive bodies of the campaign.
The campaign, which came in cooperation with the Dibba Al -Hosn Cooperative Association for Fisheries and a number of governmental and private agencies, witnessed the participation of approximately 50 divers who contributed to raising quantities of waste and waste from the port bottom in order to preserve the marine environment and ensure the sustainability of fish wealth in the region.
The campaign aims to enhance environmental awareness among members of society and encourage sustainable fishing practices, as well as highlight the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the marine environment, which is a basic pillar to support the local fishing sector and the community economy.
His Excellency the President of the Commission stressed that these initiatives contribute to promoting social responsibility and that this cooperation between the official authorities and the local community reflects the commitment of the Emirate of Sharjah to preserve the marine environment and protect biological diversity.
