The World Cup qualifier’s draw is held in Kuala Lumpur Thursday

The Asian Football Confederation said yesterday that the draw for the qualifying qualifiers to the 2026 World Cup will be held next Thursday at its headquarters in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
After it has already decided six out of eight direct seats designated for Asia in the World Cup in North America after the end of the third stage, six teams compete in the supplement for two seats in the tournament.
The teams of the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Oman and Indonesia are competing in the supplement that will be held from October 8 to 14.
The Asian Federation added on its website that the teams will be distributed at three levels according to the classification of the International Football Association (FIFA) for the Asian teams, which was announced specifically on June 13.
Qatar and Saudi Arabia come at the first level, Iraq and the UAE at the second level, Oman and Indonesia at the third level.
The teams will be divided into two groups, each with three teams, with the leaders of each group to qualify directly into the World Cup.
The matches of the supplement will be held in the league system from one round during the gathering, and Qatar and Saudi Arabia will host the attachment matches.
After the end of the attachment, the second place will face the second place in each group in the first -leg matches that will be held on November 13 and 18, to determine the team that will represent Asia in the global attachment, for a last opportunity to reach the World Cup.
