Abdullah Al -Hamid discusses in London the prospects for media and technological cooperation

London, July 17 / WAM / His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamid, Chairman of the National Media Office, Chairman of the Emirates Media Council, met in the British capital “London”, His Excellency Michelle Donilan, former Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology in the British government.
During the meeting, which comes within the framework of the preparatory efforts to hold the upcoming “Bridge” summit in Abu Dhabi, the two sides reviewed the opportunities for joint cooperation in the areas of artificial intelligence and media, and discussed the importance of building international partnerships that contribute to developing media infrastructure and stimulating the creative economy.
His Excellency Abdullah Al Hamid stressed that artificial intelligence represents a pivotal tool in reshaping the media scene, stressing the importance of adopting models of artificial intelligence a balance between innovation and responsibility, and in a way that contributes to promoting credibility and improving the quality of the content.
His Excellency pointed to the role of the Bridge summit in highlighting the uses of artificial intelligence, especially from an ethical perspective that guarantees the direction of these technologies to serve societies and countries, pointing to the UAE’s keenness to conclude partnerships in the fields of technology and innovation in order to enhance cooperation in developing media tools that contribute to raising the quality of content and improving information verification mechanisms.
For its part, His Excellency Michelle Dunilan praised the leadership role of the UAE in supporting media innovation, expressing her aspiration to participate in the Bridge Summit in order to exchange experiences in the fields of emerging media and technologies.
