Egypt’s ambassador to Paris: Egyptian -French relations are witnessing a growing momentum … and a noticeable growth in the volume of trade exchange

Ambassador Yusef, the Egyptian ambassador to Paris and its permanent representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization & Nbsp, stressed that Egyptian -French relations are witnessing a growing momentum crowned with the important visit made by French President Emmanuel Macron to Egypt last April, which witnessed the promotion of relations between the two countries to the level of strategic partnership, as well as signing many agreements and memoranda of understanding in Strategic sectors such as health, transportation and renewable energy.

This came at a reception held by Ambassador Alaa Youssef in & quot; House of Egypt & quot; In the International University City in Paris, in the presence of a group of French public officials and public figures and a large number of sons of the Egyptian community residing in France on the occasion of celebrating the glorious July revolution.

Ambassador Alaa Youssef said that & quot; House of Egypt & quot; In the university city in Paris; It has become a symbol of cultural and scientific cooperation between Egypt and France, and a cultural and civilizational lighthouse and lighting to Egypt in the heart of Paris, as it reflects the Egyptian state’s keenness to support its youth abroad, and to enhance its scientific and cultural presence in the world. Countries & quot; He added, “This occasion reminds us of the unique values and principles enjoyed by the Egyptian people, which led him to correct the path of our dear homeland through the June 30, 2013 revolution, which is the same values and principles that established the pillars of the new republic that launched the beginning of a new era in the path of the homeland; It is based on the foundations of development, citizenship, promotion of freedoms, and respect for the rule of law and institutions & quot;

as the Egyptian ambassador – in his speech – highlighted bilateral cooperation in the field of education, higher education and scientific research, referring to the Forum of Egyptian and French Universities that was organized at Cairo University during the visit of President Macron, and was crowned with the signing of 42 cooperation protocols between 13 Egyptian universities and 22 French universities. On the diplomatic level, Ambassador Alaa Youssef pointed to the existing coordination between Egypt and France regarding many regional and international issues, saying & quot; this cooperation constitutes a real pillar to support stability in a world facing multiple crises, and in light of the current geopolitical context, especially in the Middle East, the partnership between the two countries embodies a tangible model for cooperation based on confidence and respect Mutual & quot;

During the ceremony, Ambassador Alaa Youssef welcomed Dr. Khaled Al -Anani, former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Egypt’s candidate for the position of General Manager of UNESCO, explaining that he contributed greatly, through his position in the Egyptian government, to developing the antiquities sector in Egypt, restoring many important archaeological sites, and setting up huge projects, such as the Grand Egyptian Museum that will be opened soon, and the National Museum For Egyptian civilization. He expressed his aspiration for his victory in the elections of the Director General of UNESCO, as it embodies the civilizational values that UNESCO seeks to strengthen. The ceremony was attended by: A large number of French public officials and personalities, as well as foreign ambassadors accredited to France or international organizations in Paris, the Consul General Ambassador Tamer Tawfiq and members of the Egyptian diplomatic mission in Paris and technical offices, and the sky of St. Mark, Bishop of Paris and northern France of the Coptic Orthodox Church, in addition to a large number of sons of the Egyptian community residing in France.
