"Dubai Roads"Al -Dahas deaths declined from 9.5 to 0.35 per 100 thousand people

Dubai, July 22 / WAM / The Dubai Roads and Communications Authority announced that it was able to reduce the percentage of running accidents exceptionally, as the rate fell from 9.5 deaths per 100,000 population in 2007 to only 0.35 cases in 2024, in a prominent achievement that reflects the success of its traffic safety strategy.

Based on this success, the commission is intensifying its awareness efforts, as it launched a new campaign within the program “Infantry Safety on the Roads” aimed at reaching 20 thousand workers during the current year 2025, in cooperation with the Emaar Real Estate Company.

These concentrated efforts come to confront the most important causes of run -over accidents that statistical studies, which are to cross the fast streets without designated places and a miscalculation of vehicles ’speed, with a focus on areas that have witnessed deaths such as Al -Quoz and Nad Hessa.

The partnership with “Emaar” includes providing awareness gifts for workers printed with three languages, with electronic symbols to watch guiding videos.

It is noteworthy that the authority had organized 24 activities last year within the same program, which benefited more than 12,500 workers, which confirms the continuity of this successful approach in promoting the culture of safety of this vital segment in society.
