Ajman .. community programs and activities that enhance the values of cooperation and giving

Ajman, July 25/ WAM/ The Emirate of Ajman is witnessing the launch of a set of qualitative societal programs and activities, which have the wide participation of all groups of society, and contributes to the consolidation of the values of cohesion, cooperation and giving, in line with the “Year of Society” in the UAE.

The summer program of the government of Ajman “Our Summer Happiness”, which is held annually under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, comes to form a wide umbrella that includes all family members, as it is presented over a full month a variety of activities that target various groups of society, and seeks to enhance societal interdependence and invest in the energies of young people and youth and develop their skills and talents during the summer period.

The activities of the program will be held during the period from July 14 to August 14, in eight various summer centers, which are managed by national cadres and leaders with great experiences in the youth sector, including the summer center for boys, the summer center for girls, the specialized scientific center and the summer center for cultural programs in addition to the summer center for people of determination and the summer center for senior citizens.

His Excellency Ahmed Al -Raisi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, said that the summer program of the Ajman government aims to establish good customs and traditions in the hearts of youth and young people, and to enhance their knowledge and capabilities and develop their skills through programs and events that are concerned with innovation and exploring talents in various fields.

He added that the program is working to enable families to exploit the available resources and benefit from time through qualitative programs that raise the indicators of happiness and enhance the quality of life in the emirate.

For its part, the Mother of the Faithful Association, Ajman, is keen to organize societal initiatives and events, which contribute to the happiness of the family and senior citizens and enhance the quality of their lives, while its initiatives vary between activities in religious and societal events and forums for family counseling, in which hundreds of the emirate participated.

On the level of national programs and initiatives that embody the state’s vision and comes within the framework of the “Year of Society”, the activities of the community councils that are keen to organize periodic meetings that enhance family and societal interdependence, where the number of community councils sponsored by the Citizen Affairs Office in Ajman reached 15 councils, receiving thousands of participants from all groups of society, while the office goes to raise the number of councils to 23 councils serving Ajman, Marafot, Mazera and Al -Manama.

Community councils launch many specialized programs in family and child affairs, and provide awareness workshops and professional courses targeting women, and provide courses in positive education and financial planning, as well as implement youth, voluntary and health awareness campaigns, with the aim of enhancing the culture of volunteer work among young people, which contributed to increasing the percentage of community participation in recent years.

The concerned authorities in the Emirate of Ajman continue to launch environmental and development projects that serve families and enhance the happiness of society, and in this context the agriculture project and bicycle path comes on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Street, which is one of the most important community facilities that contribute to facilitating access to green spaces and sports, recreational and societal areas, and raising health fitness for community members, and costs 16 million dirhams.
