Nahyan bin Mubarak: Al -Watan Fund is keen to embody the values and elements of the national identity
Abu Dhabi, July 27/ WAM/ His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al -Watan Fund, expressed his great pride and pride in the UAE’s children from university students, who succeeded in transforming belonging to the homeland and loyalty to its leadership and the good citizenship from just words or feelings that we all feel, to initiatives and actions, enabling them to make them a social culture.
His Excellency said during his follow -up of the activities and initiatives of the summer programs of the homeland fund for school students or universities that the fund is keen to embody the values and elements of national identity a reality that we live through initiatives that the people of the Emirates are created and implemented through the “National Identity Pioneers” program, which is a great platform to activate the role of youth in promoting Emirati values with their universities and their local environment, and this is what we learned from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan “May God protect him”, which always confirms that pride in our national identity starts from identifying the values and principles it contains and the keenness to empowering man.
His Excellency reviewed activities related to national identity clubs in universities during the summer vacation and the role of the fund in sponsoring them, as well as its role in motivating the initiatives implemented by students participating in the national identity clubs at universities at the state level during the summer activities held in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Fujairah and Dubai and will continue until July 31.
The activities include a lecture by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak for all university students next Wednesday at the University of Mohammed bin Zayed for Humanities, and attended by all students of national identity clubs in universities at the state level, tolerance clubs, tolerance knights and tolerance committees in local and local ministries and institutions in order to develop a common vision to enhance identity and societal cohesion within the framework of celebrating the year of society.
For his part, His Excellency Yasser Al -Qarqawi, Director General of the Watan Fund, said that the national identity pioneers program for university students in various parts of the country comes within the summer programs of the fund to activate the role of the UAE children from university youth during the summer vacation, stressing that His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan will meet the pioneers of the national identity through the main lecture of the program that he gives at the University of Mohammed bin Zayed for Humanities and revolves around the issues of promoting and consolidating the values of identity, The mechanism for embodying these values in behavior and daily life, followed by organizing a dialogue session run by youth councils, within the joint cooperation between the Fund and the Ministry of Tolerance and the Ministry of Youth.
He explained that these discussions will focus on the role of the pioneers of the national identity in the initiatives and activities implemented by the clubs and tolerance committees in the regions, and the proposal of a set of activities that can be implemented in the future alongside the role of the fund, the Ministry of Tolerance and the Ministry of Youth in supporting these efforts.
Al -Qarqawi added that the focus of the homeland fund on the national identity and its components during the summer programs in universities will remain extended, noting that the summer programs for university students reflect the celebration of the country fund in future generations, and work to deepen its awareness of belonging to the country, and affirm its capabilities to creativity and achievement, which enhances the values of loyalty to the homeland, its history, language, heritage, civilization, symbols, progress and achievements, And his rational leadership.
He noted that the fund is always working to support the status of technologies and discoveries and its role in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, in addition to supporting the position of the Arabic language through an integrated vision that bears the slogan “Arabic language of the Qur’an” and its activities do not depend on the role of the language in carrying the culture, history and identity of the country only, but it is based to include the original values and good morals derived from the Holy Qur’an, which is proud of the Emirati society.
And the price of the great role played by the participating university departments in this year’s summer programs in order to succeed and praised the efforts of the students joining the program of the national identity pioneers and its supervisors.
The summer programs of the National Fund in Universities include the “National Identity Pioneers” program, many various activities and include interactive workshops on the values of the Emirati national identity and its elements, youth dialogue sessions with the participation of students from students and supervisors, and sessions of brainstorming, to develop youth initiatives that enhance the national identity, to identify the local heritage heritage and deepen communication with the original Emirati environment.
