The former national team goalkeeper, and the current player in the ranks of the Hamriyah team, Majed Nasser, described the first division as “difficult and developed”, considering that the joining of the famous Italian coach Andrea Pirlo to the ranks of “United FC”, to lead him in the next season of the first division (amateur), represents an “important turning point” in the future of the tournament, and also stressed that the national coach Mahdi Ali is the best coac His football career.
Majid Nasser, who is newly transferred to Al Hamriyah Club, told «Emirates Today» that allowing foreign goalkeepers and residents to play in Emirati leagues will benefit the goalkeeper in the country, and will not harm the guards of the citizens, but will give them an opportunity to develop through friction and experience.
He added, “I had demanded that foreign guards be allowed more than 10 years ago, because of its technical benefits that could be fulfilled. In the end, it is the one who will reserve his place in the starting lineup, regardless of nationality. ”
He explained: «I chose to join Al Hamriya to continue to achieve the distinguished numbers that I started in my football career, whether with the national team in (Khaleeji 18) and the following championships, or with Al -Ahly youth, with which I achieved 12 achievements, in addition to my accomplishments with Al -Wasl Club.
Nasser explained that before the signing a request from the club’s management, headed by Hamid Hassan Al -Shamsi, was asked to clarify the team’s goals for the new season, so the response came clear: “The ambition is the rise to the Professional League”, which prompted him to sign without hesitation or even looking at the terms of the contract.
He said: «Al -Hamriya is an ambitious club, and I have a greater passion for achieving new achievements with him, and I hope that I will contribute to achieving a distinguished number in the Presidential Cup championship, and to be an effective element in the team’s rise to the ADNOC Professional League.
The strongest league .. and the challenge of Pirlo
Majid Nasser indicated that the first division witnessed a great development in the past seasons, and it became more powerful and competition. He said: «The matches have become more intense and pressure, and the teams are led by high experience coaches.”
The United club’s contract with the great Italian coach Andrea Pirlo was also described as a “turning point” that may contribute to the development of the competition in the future.
He revealed that he had received offers from clubs in the ADNOC Professional League, but he preferred Hamriya “for his high aspiration and ideal technical and administrative conditions,” stressing that he also received offers from other teams in the first class.
Fujairah .. the guards factory
On the role of Fujairah in making the distinguished goalkeepers, he said: “Fujairah is still supplying clubs and teams with goalkeeper guards, as I did before with the names of Sayy Ali, Ali Khasif, and Fahd Al -Dhanhani. I personally follow the Academy of Guards in Fujairah, and there are at least five talented guards at the age of 12 years awaiting a great future. ”
He pointed out that his brothers also play in different teams in the league, which gives a nice family competitive character to the scene.

Nasser regained some of his most prominent memories with the national team, including a position in the Gulf Cup (Gulf 20) championship that was held in Yemen in 2010, when Iraq striker Younis Mahmoud stated before the match that he would score a goal in his goal.
Nasser said: “I responded to a decisive penalty kick before the end of the match, and it was one of my most beautiful moments, especially since the match ended in a draw.”
He also pointed to a stunning response to a ball from a corner kick in front of the Saudi national team.

And about the best coaches with whom he worked, he said: “With the national team, Mahdi Ali remains the best, alongside the late French Bruno Mitsu. As for the clubs, I benefited a lot from Romanian Olario Cosmin, who focuses on discipline, and the Spanish Kiki, who gives the players the freedom to play the ball and enjoy it. The numbers and results tend to be in the interest of Mahdi Ali, as it is everything in my career. ”
Also, the virtue of the coaches who accompanied him in his beginnings, such as Nasser Ali and Abdel -Mawla in Fujairah, and Yassin bin Talaat in Al -Wasl Club.
Al -Wasl and Al -Ahly youth in the heart
Nasser said that his heart is “divided between Al -Wasl and the youth of Al -Ahly,” explaining: “I follow the matches of the two teams whenever the time allows me, and my passion for Al -Wasl Club is no less than the size of the great love that I am for his loyal fans, and that my accomplishments with Al -Ahly youth are unforgettable.”
The beginning of the story
Majid concluded his speech with the story of the beginning of his career as a goalkeeper, saying: “I was playing as a striker in the Sunni stages, but in one of the festivals matches, the primary goalkeeper was injured, so the coach asked me to play in his place, and since that day I am a goalkeeper. My gymnastics and handball have helped me a lot in keeping my fitness and flexibility. ”
He also stressed that “courage is an essential element of the success of any goalkeeper, along with talent.”
