"Emirates Aluminum" and"Emirates Nuclear Energy" The first aluminum shipment is given using nuclear energy

Abu Dhabi, August 7/ WAM/ Emirates International Aluminum Company, and Emirates Nuclear Energy Company announced today the delivery of the first low -carbon aluminum carbon emissions made in the UAE using electricity produced by Baraka nuclear energy stations.

Emirates International Aluminum Company is marking this type of low -carbon aluminum under the name “Minimal”, and this mineral will be supplied to Kanx for aluminum withdrawal, the company specialized in aluminum production in the Arab Republic of Egypt, thus becoming the first customer using “Minimal” to manufacture advanced products for infrastructure, solar energy, transportation and architectural uses.

This new product from the Emirates International Aluminum Company contributes to enhancing the position of the UAE, a reliable supplier of low -carbon industrial materials for global markets, and also expands the low -carbon metal wallet provided by the company to its local and international customers.

His Excellency Mohamed Al Hammadi, Managing Director and CEO of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Company, said that this achievement highlights the pivotal role of nuclear energy in enhancing energy security in the UAE, as well as supporting the state’s efforts in reducing carbon emissions to the industrial sector, noting that the Baraka stations provide clean electricity around the clock for sectors that require large quantities of electricity such as the aluminum industry, which contributes to consolidating the pillars of the empty economy from Carbon emissions, and achieving long -term sustainable benefits.

For his part, Abdel Nasser Bin Kalban, CEO of Emirates International Aluminum Company, pointed to the increasing demand for low -carbon aluminum at an accelerated pace, as it is expected to double three times by 2040, stressing the establishment of their position as a reliable partner in the future of sustainable industries through the “Minimal” product, with the support of the UAE’s vision and strategic investment in nuclear energy.

For his part, Mutasim Daaboul, General Manager of Canx Aluminum Sovereign Company, affirmed their commitment to achieving sustainability at each stage of production, starting from raw materials to the final product, and this trend embodies the company’s model in recycling, by converting waste into valuable products, explaining that with the use of “Minimal”, the company strengthens this path by reducing the integrated emissions since the beginning Operations.

Clean electricity is adopted through the “Clean Energy Certificates” program in the UAE, using the International Organization of Renewable Energy Certificates “I -Re” to ensure the possibility of tracking and reliability, and energy is provided through the Emirates Water and Electricity Company “EWEC” via the national network.

Baraka nuclear energy stations produce 40 Taewatts per hour of clean electricity annually, equivalent to about 25% of the UAE’s electricity needs, and equivalent to the total annual demand for energy in Switzerland, and electricity -free electricity contributes to Brakah stations in reducing 22.4 million tons annually from these emissions, which is equivalent to removing 4.6 million cars of roads.

The Emirates International Aluminum Company is the first international company to produce aluminum using solar energy, as it produced 80,000 tons of “Cilestial” in 2024, and the company is recycled aluminum, which is marketed under the name “Revival”, in its factories in the United States and Germany, and the “Emirates International Aluminum” operates on a greater building An aluminum recycling factory in the country in the Tawila region, and production is expected to start during the first half of 2026.
