“Pensioner injury” ends the 1,000 -goal -holding career in the hand league

The Algerian Abdel Jalil Mashou, who has the 1,000 goals in the powerful league over the past seven seasons, announced that he decided to retire the game for fear of renewed injury in the cruciate ligament that afflicted him last March, ending a long march during which he moved between a number of state clubs, the last of which is Al -Wasl.

“My happiness was great last November by returning to the home of Al -Wasl Club after the absence of four seasons, but I was afraid of renewing the repeated injury that I suffered last March at the level of the cruciate ligament despite being subjected to the stages of treatment and recovery from them, so that was behind my recent decision to move away from handball fields.”

He added: “I graduated in the Sunni stages of the Al-Wasl team before moving to an external professional experience in both the Macedonian, Qatari, and Estonian League, then returning to Al-Wasl in the summer of 2018 as a resident player, and I succeeded in my first season with the men’s team in kidnapping the title of top scorer in the hand with 220 goals, then I took the top of the scorers in the 2019-2020 season, recording 180 goals before the season stopped as a result of the Koruna.”

He continued: «The summer of 2020 signed a contract to play with the Dibba Al -Hosn team for one season, and succeeded again in winning the league’s top scorer title with a total of 186 goals, then moving to victory in a three -year contract, during which I continued to shine in terms of competition for the title of scorers, but I was exposed in 2023 to a cruciate ligament injury for the first time that kept me from the stadiums six months.

Maasho pointed to the long treatment stages, saying: “I focused during the stages of treatment in the food pattern and strengthening the muscles around the knee, and I prepared my physical strength that led me to return again in November 2024 to Al -Wasl after the absence of four seasons, but I renewed my injury last March and entered again in the treatment stages.”

He concluded: «Despite the recovery from the injury, there is a possibility to repeat it again, which is a weak point that represented the end of my sports career in a game that requires high physical strength, and it is characterized by physical friction in most of the stages of its matches, which prompted me to take the decision to retire, and go in the future to put my expertise and transfer them to future generations through the field of training, and to undergo courses under the supervision of the game Federation, to obtain qualified licenses from the International Federation to move to this The step, and I thank all the clubs that played in their ranks for their support for me during my stadium. ”

Abdul Jalil Maasho:

. I will transfer my experiences to future generations by entering the field of training in the future.
