"The Forum of Generations".. an educational experience that brings together heritage and future skills

Abu Dhabi, August 17 / WAM / The summer camp organized by the Emirates College for Educational Development presented under the slogan: “The Generations Forum: a heritage narrated, and a future that is built”, an educational experience, which combined heritage and future skills.
The camp organization – which targeted students from the age of 12 to 17 years – came in line with the “General Society” initiative, and within the college’s vision in integrating innovation and artificial intelligence in education, as he presented a practical educational experience that mixes Emirati heritage with traditional crafts, digital manufacturing techniques and artificial intelligence.
Participated in the camp – hosted by the Center for Continuing Education in the Digital Manufacturing Laboratory “Fab Lab” – guides from senior citizens and craftsmen, who conveyed to students their personal experiences, national culture and values of parents and grandparents, which strengthened social learning and interdependence between the generations of the present and the future.
The camp included an interactive spray in traditional crafts, design with the help of computers, and the use of tools such as lasers and artificial intelligence applications, enabling students to convert heritage patterns into innovative designs within group projects that strengthened the spirit of the team and creativity.
Dr. Mai Laith Al -Taie, Director of the Emirates College for Educational Development, confirmed that the camp supported the Emirati national values and provided a platform for the future forensic, explaining that the integration of heritage with innovation provided students with skills that contribute to preparing them as active citizens in their society.
The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority supported the camp as the official partner of cultural workshops, highlighting the role of innovation and emerging technology in preserving the cultural and heritage stock.
The Center for Continuing Education in the college represents an accredited training center for digital manufacturing diploma, which includes design with computer assistance, 3D printing, electronics design, and computer control.
The Faculty’s Continuing Education Center is an accredited center for digital manufacturing diploma, and since its inception in 2014, more than 344 training programs, from which more than 7000 learners have benefited in support of lifelong learning and professional development of educators in the country.
