Sharjah Sports and the Child Protection Center and the Family are looking to enhance joint cooperation
Sharjah, August 21 / WAM / The Sharjah Sports Council and the Child Protection Center and the Family of the Social Services Department in Sharjah discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation, during a meeting held at the Council’s headquarters, within the framework of the two parties ’keenness to integrate societal efforts to protect children and enhance awareness of their rights in society.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al -Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, received the center’s delegation headed by Fatima Al Marzouqi, Director of the Center, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
Al -Hazami praised during the meeting the vital role played by the center in the field of awareness of the protection of children, stressing the full support of the Council of these efforts, and its willingness to harness all the capabilities to achieve common goals, which reflects the council’s commitment to its societal role.
The center’s delegation included Khaled Al -Kathiri, Head of the Najda line, and Maryam Al -Zyoudi, Head of the Social Clinic Division in the Department of Specialized Protection Services, while Bakhit Al -Dis, Ahmed Al -Salman, Ibrahim bin Ghafan, Khaled Jumaa and Khaled Muhammad attended.
During the meeting, future cooperation mechanisms were discussed, including the organization of joint awareness programs and workshops in sports clubs, and the appointment of qualified cadres to follow up on children’s affairs, as well as the establishment of direct communication channels between the two sides, and the provision of affiliation opportunities for children to the emirate’s clubs, their presence in events and matches, in addition to launching media and awareness campaigns to enhance the culture of child protection in society.
The delegation of the Child Protection Center and the Family expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Sharjah Sports Council, stressing the importance of this cooperation in providing a safe sports environment for children and achieving integration between institutions in the service of society.
