"Sharjah Electricity" She launches her annual program to rationalize consumption

Sharjah, August 24 / WAM / Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority launched its annual program to rationalize electricity and water consumption in conjunction with the return of students to schools.

The program aims to enhance awareness of more than 3000 male and female students from various academic levels of private and governmental schools in the Emirate of Sharjah with methods and behaviors to rationalize electricity and water consumption and methods of optimal use for them.

Rashid Al Marzouqi, Director of the Information and Communication Department of the Authority, explained that the launch of this program comes as part of the commission’s commitment to support sustainability efforts in the Emirate of Sharjah, achieve environmental goals, and contribute to preserving natural resources and reducing the carbon footprint.

Saif Al -Naqbi, head of the Authority’s education and awareness department, said that the program includes field visits to schools and a variety of activities, events and awareness campaigns through the media and social media platforms in addition to competitions and prizes.

The authority called on all schools in the Emirate of Sharjah to participate effectively in the program in order to achieve a more sustainable future.
