New Emirati mediation between Russia and Ukraine succeeds in launching 292 prisoners
Abu Dhabi, August 24/ WAM/ The UAE announced the success of new mediation efforts made between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine, culminating in the completion of a new exchange that included 146 prisoners from both sides with a total of 292 prisoners, bringing the total number of prisoners who were exchanged between the two countries in these mediations to 4,641 prisoners.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its thanks to the two friendly countries for their cooperation in the success of the Emirati mediation efforts, which reflects their appreciation to the UAE as a reliable mediator that works on everything that would support efforts to resolve the crisis between the two countries.
The total Emirati mediation that took place during the crisis was 17 mediations, which expresses the depth of relations that bring the UAE together in both Russian Federation and Ukraine.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the UAE will continue its endeavors to the success of various efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine, and to alleviate the human effects resulting from it.
