“The Emirates Health” provides examinations and vaccinations for students in school clinics

The Emirates Health Services Corporation, represented in the Nursing Department, confirmed the readiness of the nursing teams in the school clinics that it supervises to receive students, in conjunction with the start of the new academic year 2025-2026, stressing its commitment to providing high-quality health and preventive services, in a way that enhances a healthy and safe educational environment.
The Executive Director of the Acting Medical Services Sector at the Emirates Health Services Corporation, Dr. Essam Al -Zarouni, congratulated the administrative and educational bodies, parents and students, on the occasion of the start of the new academic year, wishing them a academic year full of achievements and excellence.
He added that the readiness of school clinics, at the beginning of the new academic year, is a reflection of the institution’s keenness to support the educational process with an integrated health system, and we continue to work in partnership with the various concerned authorities to enhance students’ health and safety, and to ensure the continuity of developing school health services, in a way that contributes to preparing creative generations capable of serving the country, and active participation in advancing sustainable development.
For its part, Dr. Sumaya Al -Balushi, Director of Nursing Department at the Emirates Health Services Corporation, explained that the Foundation was keen to prepare nursing teams, through extensive training programs in the fields of first aid, emergency management and mental health for students, with the aim of raising the quality of nursing care in school clinics.
She added that the 96.9%satisfaction rate, which we achieved in the annual questionnaire of public school administrators for the services of the past academic year, confirms the great confidence in the quality of our services, and we are continuing to develop the skills and competencies of nursing teams to ensure the provision of the best levels of care for our student children.
The health services offered by the institution in school clinics include a comprehensive annual examination of students, which includes measuring length, weight, body mass index, vision examination, etc., as well as organizing educational lectures and providing first aid services, including response to emergency cases, transferring cases that require health centers or hospitals, providing vaccinations included in the national immunization program, providing oral health services Teeth, follow -up of infectious diseases and mental health of students.
It is noteworthy that the Emirates Health Services Corporation oversees 312 government schools and 333 school clinics, in addition to providing nursing staff for seven new educational complexes, within the Zayed Educational Complex series in different regions of the country, knowing that the percentage of resettlement between the nursing staff in public schools increased in 2025 to reach 12.5% of the total nursing staff in school health clinics.
