The United States reduces fees on Japanese cars starting today "Tuesday"

Washington, September 16/ WAM/ The United States of America intends to reduce customs duties on Japanese cars as of today, Tuesday, the US Department of Commerce confirmed yesterday, Monday, in implementation of a new agreement concluded with Japan.

Starting today, “Tuesday”, it will be imposed on Japanese cars that enter the United States with 15%, instead of 27.5%.
The ministry indicated that the new decision will be retrospectively applied as of last August, to include many other goods in addition to cars.
According to the White House, this step is expected to accompany Japanese investments in the United States with a value of up to $ 550 billion, which reflects the strength of the economic partnership between the two countries.
