المملكة: “Wealth” .. a new initiative to enable craftsmen at Princess Noura University


I launched College of designs and arts in Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University , “Wealth” initiative, to support and enable craftsmen from the categories of Saudi society , and preserving heritage in a way that enhances its presence in the field of handicrafts, at the college’s headquarters at the university. /> The initiative “4” includes specialized training workshops, provided by academies in the field of handicrafts, dealing with major topics, which are: “Creativity meets heritage”, “craftsmanship and creative packaging in Saudi identity”, “marketing tools and pricing tools”, in addition to practical application at the end of each workshop, which contributes to refining craftsmanship skills, and producing innovative initial works. />
The initiative constitutes an interactive space between craftsmen and academies, which allows them to see experiences and exchange experiences and ideas, and contribute to enriching handicrafts. The “Tharwa” initiative with the year of handicrafts 2025, which was launched by the Ministry of Culture to consolidate the status of handicrafts locally and globally as a cultural heritage, and a pillar of Saudi identity. Abdul Rahman 2025, by preparing competing competencies, supporting handicrafts with sustainable products, and promoting national heritage.
