The launch of the training tests for the first semester tomorrow

Governmental and private schools announced the start of training tests for the first semester of the academic year 2025-2026, for students from the fifth to 12, tomorrow, and will continue until Friday, according to the time schedules approved by each school.
The formative tests measure the level of students’ performance in nine basic subjects, including Arabic and English, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, science, social studies, and Islamic education.
The formative tests are an important part of the continuous evaluation degree of the subject, as it will be done either through the smart learning portal (LMS) or in a paper in a paper, as decided by the teacher responsible for the subject, and time periods have been identified for each test under the supervision of teachers to ensure the progress of the evaluation process in an organized and fair manner for all students.
School departments stressed the importance of students ’commitment to attend the dates of the tests and not be absent except with an acceptable excuse, pointing to the return of any test in the event of the justified absence, to ensure the discipline of the educational process and achieve justice among students.
She explained that in the event that any teacher wants to determine a test outside the special days, prior coordination is made with colleagues and commitment to the declared schedule, so that the number of tests does not exceed two tests per day, taking into account the intensity of the courses and the size of the test subject.
It was decided to work with this mechanism from September until the end of the academic year, ensuring the regulation of the evaluation process and the distribution of academic burdens in a balanced manner.
According to the “Student Evaluation Policy for the year 2025-2026”, there are two types of formative evaluation, the first is not intended, and aims to monitor the student’s progress and support without calculating degrees in the final rate. The second is the evaluation is observed, which is based on certain clear criteria for evaluating students ’performance in various tasks, such as written outcomes, projects, and achievement files, and is counted within the academic performance rate of students according to specific relative weights.
The policy pointed out that the formative evaluation includes short tests and practical performance tasks, which gives students opportunities to apply their skills and acquaintances, and is characterized by the use of accurate tools to measure strengths, weaknesses of students, to improve general performance, and ensure justice in results.
The evaluation contributes to monitoring the student’s progress and developing learning goals constantly, with a focus on enhancing creativity, communication and problem solving skills, and preparing students for final exams by measuring their readiness, and determining the extent of their assimilation of academic content.
