Sharjah celebrates the literature of international trips and narrators

Sharjah on September 22/ WAM/ The first day of the activities of the twenty -fifth session of the Sharjah International Forum for Rawa, organized by the Sharjah Heritage Institute in the framework of its celebration of his silver jubilee under the slogan “Tales of the travelers”, witnessed a series of dialogue and intellectual sessions that shed light on the presence of narration, memory and language in travelers ’experiences through the ages and during the tales presented by stories from various Arab countries.
The first session of the forum, His Excellency Muhammad Al -Murr, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Knowledge, hosted the title “A Journey in Memory and State”, during which he talked about his long experience with trips literature, stressing that what he offers is not based on just a description or tourist narration, but rather a reflection of his own impressions and human interactions with places.
He explained that his style of blogging is closer to the diaries that record his thoughts and psychological states, considering that the literature of high -end trips combines biography and stories, and he said that photography is an art parallel to writing, but it does not sing about it while he deals with it with passion based on respecting man and not depicting people without permission.
Al -Murr pointed out that one place may inspire different readings according to the writer’s background, explaining that he does not go with his trips loaded with prior ideas, but rather leaves himself freedom of surprise and sympathy for peoples.
In his comparison between trips literature and the visual content industry through digital platforms, Al -Murr explained that most bloggers are satisfied with the superficial photography of places, while the few only add a cultural value that reflects the civilization and arts of peoples.
At the end of the session, His Excellency Al -Murr signed his three books in the literature of trips, which are “Around the World in 22 days”, “The Beautiful Zanzibar” and “Madagascar Coast and boats”.
In the second session of the forum, His Excellency Adam Nasser, Minister of Culture in the Maldives, highlighted the deep influence of the Arabic language in the formation of the language of his mother country, “Al -Difhi”, explaining that the Arab heritage contributed pivotal in building the vocabulary of the Division and its grammatical structures, which is still used today, which reflects a cultural link that extends for centuries between the Maldives and the Arab world.
During his address to an audience of writers, scholars, and those interested in culture, the Minister reviewed the historical interactions between the Maldives and the Arab countries, indicating that trade, religion and travel contributed to the introduction of many Arab words and phrases into “Al -Difi”.
He noted that Arabic is not just a language of religion but rather a bridge that links our culture and traditions to the broader Arab heritage, calling on the new generation to preserve this linguistic heritage.
Maldives stressed the promotion of cultural exchange and dialogue, stressing the role of language and narrative narration in promoting understanding between different societies, while the forum strengthens Sharjah’s position as a global center for literature and narration and preserving cultural heritage, continuing its traditions in building intellectual ties between cultures.
The forum included a group of accompanying events that included sessions, workshops and listed tales of a great traveler such as Ibn Battuta and others who left their mark in history, reflecting the spirit of exploration and knowledge that the forum celebrated.
