“Emirates Aircraft Supply” launches the first training program for cooking arts

The Emirates Aircraft Supply Company launched its first vocational training program in cooking arts, in partnership with the Dubai Tourism College, which is affiliated with the Dubai Economy and Tourism Department.
The program aims to provide participants with basic skills in cooking arts through practical training and direct identification to the work environment, as the first batch, which includes 15 trainees of various nationalities, will be attracted, including: the Philippines, Uganda, India, Nepal, Ghana, and Sri Lanka.
The Emirates Aircraft Supply, in a statement yesterday, stated that the program combines theoretical lectures and academic training from the Dubai Tourism College, and direct practical experience within the kitchens of the Emirates Aircraft Supply kitchens, noting that upon completion of the program, the participants obtain the third level certificate in cooking arts, internationally recognized, approved by the Ministry of Education in the UAE.
The investment in educational and training programs, such as the vocational training program in cooking arts, comes within the framework of the commitment of the “Emirates to supply aircraft” to prepare qualified cadres, upgrade the basic standards of the novice job level, in a way that supports the company’s future growth plans, in line with the planned expansions at Al Maktoum International Airport, and increasing the absorptive capacity at Dubai International Airport.
“Vocational training programs in cooking arts are an effective path to launch in this field, as it allows the trainees to identify the requirements and challenges of the professional work environment, while benefiting from professional chef experiences,” said Shahraar Nawabi.
He added: “The launch and development of the vocational training program in cooking arts comes within our commitment to upgrading standards in the renewable cooking industry, preparing promising local cadres, and enabling work teams.”
For his part, Issa Bin Hader, Director General of Dubai Tourism College and Executive Director of the Economic Strategy Sector in the Department of Economics and Tourism in Dubai, Issa Bin Hadr said: “Dubai Tourism College is obligated to establish a new generation of specialized competencies in the tourism and cooking arts sectors, and through our partnership with (Emirates Aircraft Supply) we seek to support Dubai World Status in the hospitality sector and meet the increasing demand for its services.”
