Kim joins the list of “race to Dubai” in the golf

Michael Kim won the FIDEX Open Championship, which is his first title in the DB and Solf tour, which is held in the classification of “The race to Dubai”, and became the first American player, since 1972, culminating in the title of this tournament that was held in the capital, Paris, while strengthening his chances to qualify for the tour, which is held in the Emirates during the month of November.
Kim’s victory came, after he finished the competitions with 16 strikes under the rate, taking advantage of his strong performance in the fourth and final round in which he scored seven strikes under the rate, to win the financial prize that exceeds 551 thousand dollars, and won 835 points, made him advance 125 steps in the world rankings of “race to Dubai”, issued yesterday, where he ranked 35th with a total of 1034 points.
This tournament is the number 16 in Kim’s career in the DB World round competitions, and the second title in his professional career since his victory in the American BGA tour in 2018.
Commenting on the victory, Kim said: “It is a great feeling of winning for the first time in this round, and for the first time in my professional career in general since 2018, and I wanted strongly to provide a good performance here this week, I am very happy and very grateful, because I managed to win, and I feel that this coronation is perfect, and I hope to continue this during my career.”
Kim’s victory came at the expense of the French duo, Jeong Ko, and the Australian Elvis Samili, who achieved 15 strikes under the rate, to win each player 433 points, which made Ko advanced in the “race to Dubai” rating to 60 with 742 points, and Smiley to 14 with 1569 points.
The France Open 36 is this season, which includes 42 championships in 26 countries, and is held under the slogan “The race to Dubai”.
