Space 42 launches the first sovereign transfer cloud in the UAE
Abu Dhabi, September 24 / WAM / Space 42 announced the development of the first sovereign transition cloud in the UAE that depends on the “sovereign public cloud” from “Core42” to take advantage of the “Microsoft Azore” platform.
The initiative will contribute to accelerating the publication of self -movement solutions, while ensuring that data is hosted safely within the country and its compliance with national legislation, and the sovereign transition cloud constitutes an integrated platform that supports the UAE sovereignty in the field of smart transport, as it provides a reliable infrastructure that supports navigation data and self -driving systems. The sovereign movement cloud combines Space 42 experience in the transition solutions and the sovereign cloud structure provided by “Microsoft” and “Core42”, and “Space 42” will lead the leadership of applications, coordination with the regulatory authorities, and enhance the adoption of solutions through experimental programs, illustrations and commercial releases. “Core42” and “Microsoft” will provide the sovereign cloud infrastructure by relying on their data centers in the UAE, as well as artificial intelligence platforms, governance and data security frameworks to ensure data and compliance with local systems, and Microsoft will provide training, technical experience and joint investment to support the growth of operational structure.
The initiative represents a strengthening of continuous cooperation between Space 42 and Microsoft, which previously included the launch of the “Africa Map” in cooperation with Izri in July 2025, and the gym of the Gymondist AI platform (GI Qi) from Space 42 via the “Microsoft Azore” store.
