Fujairah on September 28/ WAM/ The activities of the seventh round of the second edition of the Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Jujitsu Championship, which is intended for competitions without the suit, concluded today in the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, in the presence of a large crowd and an enthusiastic competitive atmosphere. This is the final round of the category competition without the suit, as it spanned two days, and witnessed on its closing day competitions under 18 years, adults and professors.
The closing day was attended and participated in the coronation of the winners, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, son of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah; And His Excellency Youssef Abdullah Al -Batran, member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Jujitsu Federation; His Excellency Hamid Sabt Al Shamsi, Vice -Chairman of the Board of the Sagittarius and Arrow, Director of the Sports Training Department at the Sharjah Psychological Sports Club; And Muhammad Nasser Amer, Director of the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah; And Mubarak Saleh Al -Menhali, Director of the Technical Department of the Emirates Federation for Jujitsu, Abdullah Salem Al -Zaabi, Director of the Marketing and Institutional Communication Department at the Emirates Jujitsu Federation; and Abdullah Al -Dhanhani, Director of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Dibba Branch.
At the end of this round, the category competition without the suit witnessed the success of the Sharjah Club of Mystery Sports in winning the championship title, while Al -Ain Club achieved the runner -up center, and the Palm Sports Academy “Tim 777” ranked third.
His Excellency Youssef Abdullah Al -Batran said: “We are proud of the continuous successes achieved by the Championship of Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed for Jujitsu, as it proved through its rounds its position as a leading platform that highlights the accelerated development of the jujitsu sport in the country.”
He congratulated the winning clubs whose players showed a distinguished performance and a high spirit that embodied the highest meanings of determination and insistence on the rug. “We participated in today’s competitions with about 15 players and this tournament is very important, so we focused on training in the last period, putting our eyes to win the title. Our players participated in many championships and I was watching their methods and their performance and working with them to develop and avoid mistakes, to be ready always.”
“I succeeded in winning today after three strong and very happy battles with what I have achieved and I was looking forward to providing more and supporting the club in scoring points,” said Adam Edijov, the player of Al Ain Club, who is winning the gold of the under 18. 94 kg. He added: Jojitsu is my favorite sports and practiced it for a long time and I am keen to participate in this tournament since its inception, because it has great importance and it is a competitive platform for all clubs and elite players in the country, so achieving gold here has a special taste.
